ZIGGYFEST lands at Ziggy Green on Heddon Street this September for a one-day celebration of David Bowie’s life, music and style, right where Ziggy Stardust first struck his pose.
From live music and talks with Bowie’s original bandmates to London’s biggest Bowie look-alike contest, it’s set to be a starman-worthy day (and night) of art, sound and sparkle, all in support of two fantastic charities, Magic Breakfast and Sarabande.
SUPPORTING
10:30am Morning Bowie tour in Soho by Geoff Marsh (V&A Curator of David Bowie Is).
12:00pm Soho Saints five-piece Brass Band performing ‘Let’s Dance’ and other Bowie hits on Heddon Street.
From 12:00pm In conversation with Spiders from Mars drummer Woody Woodmansey who played on the original Ziggy Stardust album as well as iconic albums including Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold the World and Aladdin Sane.
Champagne Brunch with Suzi Ronson, stylist and inventor of Bowie’s famous Ziggy haircut as well as wife of Ziggy Stardust guitarist Mick Ronson, will be discussing the musician’s iconic looks and regaling audiences with stories of touring with Bowie and the Spiders from Mars.3:00pm Colony Room Green conversations throughout the afternoon with contributors including photographer Chris Duffy, whose father shot the world-famous cover of Aladdin Sane alongside photoshoots for Ziggy Stardust, the Thin White Duke, The Lodger and Scary Monster. Chris followed in his father’s footsteps, later photographing Bowie himself.
5:00pm Stephen Street, the legendary music producer of Blur, the Smiths, the Cranberries who will be playing an all-vinyl DJ set of his favourite Bowie tunes and talking about David and his collaborators music legacy.
6:00pm Bowie Look-alike competition winner annouced!
7:00pm Bringing back the band and kicking off the evening party with

Shortlisted Bowie’s will be invited to attend ZiggyFest in person on the 6th Septmber at 5pm where the winner will be announced.
